Mitsubishi forklift demonstrator handed over to ASRY

Zayani Motors, the authorized dealers for Mitsubishi Forklifts (MCFE) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, presented Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) with a Mitsubishi Forklift Truck demonstrator in order to provide their customers with the opportunity to experience the reliability and the efficiency of these machines themselves before deliberating on purchasing.
'In the first move of its kind, Zayani Motors invested BD 17,000 on two demonstrators and replacement forklifts to enable potential customers to test the true efficiency of a class leader before making any purchases. By doing this, we are actually presenting our customers with the same type of high standard services as we do when purchasing any of our Mitsubishi vehicles. Also, we have gone that extra mile by ensuring that our staff members are fully acquainted with these machines. Our Sales Expert Mr. Sadiq A. Majed popularly known as 'Forky' has just returned to Bahrain after undergoing an extensive training program abroad with MCFE to handle all customer enquiries,' commented Mr. James Fry, Sales Manager of Zayani Motors.

New safety system for Mitsubishi forklifts

MLA Holdings Pty Ltd and Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks have introduced the Integrated Presence System (IPS). This is a new state of the art safety system that links operator presence sensors and safety features of the forklift truck.
Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks now includes a safety system to alert operators of danger.
With IPS, designers and engineers at Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks adopted an operator centered design concept and found a more comprehensive method to prevent forklift accidents.
The key focus has been placed on immobilising the movement of the forklift truck and its hydraulic functions when the operator leaves their seat. This is to prevent accidents caused by remote human error.
IPS includes the following five key safety functions:
1) Travel interlock - Disengage the transmission, preventing someone from getting caught by moving machines.
2) Mast interlock - Disconnect power from the hydraulic lift and tilt functions, preventing hydraulic mast functions if operating levers are accidentally shifted.
3) Neutral safety start - Only allow the engine to be started when transmission is put into neutral. This is to prevent the forklift truck from surging forward or backward when starting.
4) Seat belt warning - Flashing of seat belt visual warning lamp on the instrument panel, to remind the operator to fasten their seat belt.
5) Park brake alarm - Buzzer will sound when the parking brake lever is released while the engine is off and when the operator leaves their seat without applying the parking brake.
Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has made these features a standard on their new Grendia series forklift trucks.

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks Introduces New Electric Walkie
New Electric Walkie Line Combines Value with Superior Performance
HOUSTON--Dec. 1, 20055, 2005--Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has once again outshone industry standards with its new line of electric walkies boasting the highest maneuverability on the market, advanced regenerative breaking for increased run time and energy efficiency, and 500-hour service intervals.
The new electric walkie line is available in 3,000, 4,500, and 6,000 pound models. With the shortest head length in its class, each walkie is ready to perform under variable conditions providing customers with the highest level of functionality, efficiency and versatility on the market. Each model has the ability to operate with the handle in a fully vertical position allowing for optimum turning capability in tight spaces, making right angle stacking and pin-wheeling easy in a trailer.
"By combining reliability and performance, the new walkie line is guaranteed to provide customers with the highest level of satisfaction and value they have come to expect of a Mitsubishi forklift truck," said Chad Pilbeam Marketing Program Manager, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks.
Unlike other construction designs, the new walkie trucks feature a welded solid steel bar construction and durable side rails that are 2.5 times thicker than most other makes, ensuring maximum quality and durability in all applications.
Each model is fully equipped with a low mounted control handle constructed of a high-impact resistant material, which increases leverage and the distance between the operator and the tractor. The ideal design results in reduced steer effort and maximum operating clearance. For added reliability, each model is ready with long-life Vulkollan(R) load wheels and drive tires that are designed to reduce cracking, chunking and damage from heat build-up.
The new Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks electric walkies are designed for efficiency and equipped with advanced regenerative breaking, which recovers energy pulled from the battery while plugging (using the opposite travel direction to slow or stop the unit), when the travel control is returned to neutral (coasting), and when the handle is released (braking). The feature provides additional value to the customer by reducing wear on the brake pad, resulting in lower maintenance costs.
A comprehensive testing program, including individual component, chassis, and customer application tests, has ensured that each walkie is ready to hold up under demanding conditions. Results have proven long term reliability and a service interval rating of up to 500-hours, which is double the standard of most other manufacturers.
For added safety, each unit has an electromagnetic brake with a rollback protection feature that engages the brake and holds the unit on gradients until travel is requested, regardless of handle position.
Additional features include sealed switches on the control handle, all rated for at least one million cycles and a smart reverse direction switch, which reduces the risk of unintentional reverse movement.
From the manufacturing and distribution headquarters in Houston, Texas, Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks offers a complete line of reliable forklifts for a variety of material handling needs in a variety of applications including warehousing, shipping, and food and beverage. By putting customer needs first, Lone Star Lift delivers Mitsubishi forklifts that are Ready, Reliable and Right On The Money.
